Hiding and moving slowly
I stalk my oblivious prey
Through the street and narrow alley
On this bright sunny day
My heart thrums a beat
It thrills my blood and bones
I can almost feel the heat
From my warm target's clothes
He does not expect it
My blade across his throat
His skin is obscenely slit
His gaze begins to float
Then I watch his blue eyes
The light dying in them
The sight is like a prize
That I covet like a gem
His skin begins to bleed
My blood begins to sing
This crimson flow I need
for the ecstasy it will bring
I let his corpse go
And wipe my dagger clean
I let my smile grow
And leave with a haughty grin
The sky turns grey and dark
As I make my silent escape
But my body is alight with a spark
Which my sated blood lust gave.
