"The Midnight Library", I read the title of the book and I took it out of the shelf. It almost seemed like I have read all interesting books in the school library but somehow remained ignorant of this book.
As I opened I discovered, that the book was split into three parts. That is there were three short stories in it. On the cover it read:"Dare To be scared"...What a joke!!, I thought.. little did I know that it was not really a joke..
The book was the first of nine books of the horror category. As I started, my friend Neehal told me that once he borrowed one of the books and had to return it without finishing it till the end as he was scared. He must be joking, I thought..I was wrong again..
Soon after I had started reading of the first story, I began to find myself absorbed in an imaginary world. I began to place myself in the shoes of the main character, who eventually gets murdered in the end. I imagined myself getting murdered and in the end, I felt a chill running through my spine..
I still remember that I bunked maths class, having nothing to do, I took out my storybook and began to read. I was so drown in the story, that I was unconscious of the deputy rector standing in front of me till he spoke to me..
Wow, I suppose it is normal to be cut from the world when you get an interesting story to read.. :)
