When I say be the change, I mean, push yourself into the mainstream. Don't wait for some unknown entity, to come and change the system. You alone and many others like you can change it.

This change could be brought about by putting yourself into active politics or by doing any other work related to social activity, or social welfare for the people at large. People today blame the politics of the country for the mess we are in today.

True to some extent, but it is, we the people who have allowed this rot to set in. Had we woken up in time, and paid attention to the manner in which the political class was running the country maybe the damage could have been stopped in time, or minimized to some extent. Having said that, I feel all is not lost yet.

The youth of this country, both men and women, boys and girls, have to come forward to lend support for the development of our country. This has to be now done on a war footing, because already too much time has been lost and too much wealth having been destroyed and plundered, by those who we thought would lead by example.

The youth should now join active politics in whatever forum they want, whatever capacity and whichever party they feel, will bring about the change. Just check the credentials of the party before joining it, so that you're not disappointed later on.

Here, I urge the women of this country to take the lead in this monumental task. The effort of the government in providing 33% reservation for women in Parliament should be applauded because this will further the cause.

Take responsibility for whatever post you are offered,in whichever political party you join! Don't leave it to recognized leaders to take you out of this mess. They also have a job to do,and need the support of all people to build a young and vibrant India all over again.! Make sure you follow one golden rule, never support corruption.

Take politics as another job, like the engineer takes up his job, the financial consultant takes up his job, or the banker would conduct his job in a bank. The one thing common in all these jobs is that the person is accountable for his role and would get a fixed salary at the end of his tenure. Politics should also be treated in the same manner. After all it is simply a job which you are performing for a political party and for the country at large.

The day people stop going after politics to gather unaccounted money at the cost of development work being stalled, or the money meant for various government projects being diverted into the pockets of either bureaucrats as well as the political class is stopped completely, then only can we see a change in the blossoming of this wonderful country of ours. I feel politics has been degenerated by the vile acts of the political class put together. This has to end.

Accountability and honesty has to prevail in politics as well. We can't have the political class destroying and plundering our country at will. That is not to say, that all politicos are corrupt or dishonest, but if the majority out numbers the honest minority then we have to sit up and take notice. So my appeal to the youth at large would be,enough of sitting back and watching from the armchair. Stand up and take charge and do your rightful duties and resume your place in the politics of this country.

Another point here, because we can't expect everyone to be joining politics. So don't despair, for those who can't come into active politics, they can help in the development of the country by being responsible wherever they are, in whatever position they are.

Learn to do your job honestly and with responsibility, shun all kinds of corruption, and don't be afraid to speak out your mind. Try and help out people in distress in your workplace, and near your home, or generally on the road. Be in touch with NGO's who you think are doing genuine work and spread their message across.

Report corruption and inefficiency wherever you see it and come across it. Take the help of lawyers, editors, authors, people in authority or just about anybody, whom you think can further your cause, and help in eliminating corruption. Suffering injustice is as good as perpetuating it! So if you see some evil being committed and give it a pass, on the premise that somebody else will attend to it than you are actually not listening to your inner voice.

I was in fact happy to see a lot of youth and other people come out and support Anna in his fight for corruption, which shows that the people are ready to fight for their rights and made this country a better place to live in. But I wish it wouldn't stop at only demanding the presentation of a Lokpal bill.

That will come in due course, but the people should rise up to the occasion and try and stop corruption at any and every level. The bureaucracy as well as the politicos need to understand that tolerance level limits have been breached and corruption and inefficiency should not and will not be tolerated at any extent.

The bribe taker has to be educated and not to indulge in bribe taking. He should feel happy and satisfied in whatever he is earning as his rightful salary. If the bribe taker stops taking bribe, than the bribe giver will automatically stop giving the bribe.! We can't wait for ever for this change to take place. Be the change yourself and then you'll see everyone changing around you. So here's hoping for a better India if all of you work in right earnest. With these thoughts I sign off, with the promise that I will post again soon as I get a response from you! If my post manages to convert even 10 people I would feel rewarded.! Cheers! And don't let me down!
