I have presented a rosier picture right now, lets come to the reality. The shiny, reflecting windows of these high end cars roll down aah you try to have a peek inside looking at the well off owners , you wish "what a life", and what you see empty wrappers getting dumped on the road because the nation or city belongs to the government ,and ours is a stupid government and so anything worth cribbing about the country and we have our targets set!! Dear people kindly take a peek out of your convenience zone and stop playing the blame game. You are a daughter, sister, brother, wife or whatever for that matter and I know you are surely fulfilling your responsibilities towards that but please realize you are a citizen too. The passport you possess isn't just a document/card to let you travel around the world. it tells you, the nation believes you, trusts you and thus calls you its citizen, thats another thing the process through which its verifies you has its own loopholes but this isnt the case right now, we arent here to discuss the shortcomings of the government , we are here- reading this, comprehending this, to bring a change in our ourselves, in our outlook, in our approach towards considering us a part of this nation building process. Because whatever you do, its adding on to the pile of garbage and this is indeed a very serious issue. You acknowledge other countries for their tidiness, the perfect roads and their ambience because with the government the citizens are working together too to maintain that. The govt. might be coming up with various Yamuna, Ganga, jamuna plans, implementing them half successfully but we arent acting as a catalyst for them in any way. I am afraid to say, we are rather being deterrent in this process, greasing our guns, aiming for the shot, and as and when "they" fail somewhere , bang on the trigger pressed!!
How happy they seem to be while munching the gutka or the paan for that sake. Be happy, I have no qualms but kindly dont spit that out on the road once you are over with it. You already have all the required attractive paraphernalia to impress people, get a personal spitton (it is available) and believe me you will appear wise and for that matter attractive too.
Think about the nation or instead think about "your" nation. Ultimately whatever you do would affect you in a way or other. So next time you try to evade the stench coming from a nearby garbage pile or pity the degrading condition of the India OR debate upon whether "Indian Government" can host an another Commonwealth Games , see yourself as a culprit somewhere.
