Every single day ,
As the sun takes on it’s forever way,
I close my eyes to feel my life ,
And get a dream...waiting for you on the country side.
When I flip through the pages of time ,
An unknown face strikes my mind ,
Lost in the unfamiliar crowd ,
Why was he here not able to make out.
As usual with my normal self ,
Searching answers in this life’s mess,
Was trying to mingle out there,
When I did shake your hands stretched out with care.
I still remember that blissful smile ,
Which made me wonder just for a while ,
How can a stranger sometimes feel so own ,
When our dear ones ...leave us alone.
Before I could even give a thought ,
You vanished to your world far off ,
Like spring showers sometimes coming back ,
Each time with a new joke to crack.
How can I say how much I loved them ,
As I had tied myself with unseen chains ,
How I wished the clock never ticked by ,
And I never had to bid you goodbye .
How I assumed you to be a part of my life ,
Someone to turn on when I felt scarred in the darkness of the night ,
Someone who can keep my trust,
Someone who will listen to my useless talks.
The day I shared that trip with you ,
I felt something somewhere born new ,
May be a hope that someone’s there ,
Who will hold on to my hands and never let me go anywhere .
I never bothered in which relationship we got tied ,
It was a trusted one and that’s what I needed .
But... what a fool may be I was ,
Saw the world only with my honest eyes ,
And forgot people who surround us ...may not be fine .
Alas ! It all just broke ,
The castle of glass with a single stroke .
Dream worlds survive only in dreams ,
In real world you have to fake a smile...even if your heart screams .
I tried to find out what was my mistake ,
Why did the Friend-ship suffer a wreck.
How do I know what you felt ,
Whatever it was I knew... You would never tell .
I thought...
Some times it’s better to leave things like that ,
Rather than trying to mend the broken scraps.
I crawled back to my life again ,
Trying to wipe off my moments of pain.
Then suddenly ,
You appeared like a light spark ,
Spreading light in the dark ,
You succeeded again in bringing back that radiant smile ,
And , I again gave in although I hesitated for a while .
How things turned on after that in mysterious ways ,
God only knows ...it’s not my piece of cake .
Still it feels a dream to me ,
With heartfelt thanks for Almighty .
You may not be perfect from the world’s point of view ,
But for me you are a Dream come true ...
I know how much I try to pen down ,
I may run out of words but my emotions would never get drowned .
As my fingers ...mingle with yours ,
I feel like mounting heavenly stairs ,
People may say...I have gone crazy or mad ,
But ...I know life with you is a beautiful ballad ,
Just walk into my life and take me in your arms ,
Keep me mesmerized with your spell bounding charm ,
Blessed ...I will feel every single day ,
