Violence ! Paper, radio, telly ! Everywhere the same !
Evening I heard about the bomb blast in Bangalore. I dint knew exactly where, so I dint scratch my head for so long. But in the morning, I held a paper, my heart skipped a beat ! Eyes filled with tears. Absolutely no words uttered ! I learnt it had taken place in Malleshwaram & that’s where one of my bro works ! Called him immediately, he told he was safe & nothing had happened to him either. It took hours for me, to come back to normal. Many thoughts were still lingering in my mind..
The next morning, I took a newspaper to read ! Lo ! Again the same, I find a 5 year old girl being raped at the capital. My heart was blazing with fire, burning with emotions. Yes, God has made man physically more stronger, capable only to protect women. Not to harass them. Once India was peculiar for its culture, tradition, morality ! Now, where has it disappeared ?Gandhiji had once said : "India gets Independence, only when a woman can walk freely & safely after 6." Rape, a dirty secret ? No, its a violent crime !
Will this pain ever end ??
We remark, India is Independent, Republic, Democratic ! Yeah, that’s only buried in our Constitution & Social text Books !
Isn't it ??
Quest for answers, heal the fear, cure the pain !!
Are we secure ? Are we Independent ? Where is our country leading to ?? Where are we heading towards ??
