My last tribute to Sachin Tendulkar. I respect and salute him, not because I think he was the greatest batsmen of all, but because he was the biggest symbol of National Integration. No politician, no Olympic medalist and no actor could unite the ultra-varied nation like this gentleman. His records will be broken someday for they are meant to be broken but never ever the prayers of the entire nation will be converged towards one single person. Better players have played before him and even better will play in the future, but probably, none will have that magic to charm us again and again. Many long sixes will be hit, but none will be enjoyed more than his six of Shoaib Akhtar's ball. Many new shots will be invented but none will pierce through millions of hearts like his straight drive. Sachin made me believe in our national motto: 'Unity in Diversity'. He has given not only joy but also hope for the generations present and the generations to come, that we as a nation can come together, if need and cause be. Today it was for an INDIAN, tomorrow I wish, it is for INDIA.
