Banana (Musa sp.),a nutritious gold mine,

It is a perennial underground modified stem
with leaf sheathe forming a trunk like pseudostem.
They are high in vitamin B6,which helps fight infection,
And is essential for the synthesis of heme,
the iron containing part of hemoglobin.
They are also rich in potassium
and are a great source of fibre.
This refers to organically grown crops
which are not exposed to any chemicals right
from source of planting material to the final
post harvesting handling and processing.
It is based on recycling of natural organic matter.
The productivity per hectare in India is
more than twice that of the world.
The State of Maharastra is the largest of Banana
in the country,and has the highest productivity,
500% higher than that of the world average.
We are proud our county share nearly
24 percent of the total world output .
We have to think for food processing units and storage
of our numerous fruits and vegetables ,produced
in our country but not properly preserved .
