Moment first incandescent lights shimmered over me
Saw the monsters with empire heights gazing upon me
Realized later twas a h’spital and relatives with errand nature
Were they laughing or crying, can’t figure out d caricature
Life went smooth, thrashing toys and watching t-v
Toughest task was to walk around and go for a pee.
Stored into nursery, I cried watching waving hands a lot
Frustrated but amazed we all shared the same thoughts
That was the very day when I first encountered you
Golden leap of faith that I met ‘a friend like you’

Wassup..canteen..girls..cricket..espionage
They were embedded in my High school carriage
Enraged prof’s wanted me in blocks dead or alive
Disagreed enhancing brain tissues in those bee-hives
Princi’s room became familiar to my eyesight
Frantic he goes on every step I set to rights
Up and down heavers his blood pressure every day
Must say he was a member of this world for few days
So there was one who stood by me all the time
We bunked, we laughed, we spent all d precious time
We cared, we even loved a girl at d same moment of time
Leaving that I’m glad you were stuck by like glue
Felt special having a intoxicating devil ‘friend like you’


Bit of economics what I really cared in school time
Charting out the statistics of whole span of life time
Relative time spent with friend was indefinite
Pretty amazed to seek a bonding such a long tenure
They were all different whose showered love I procure
We all had fixed assets of relatives and parents
But just look back on d ample resource of friends
They shared, cried, helped and supported us
And made our heavy duty life a bit easier to bear
Metaphorically you were one in different faces
But shared same nature of bonding in all phases
You were special and all I said was true
However may I try can’t be just ‘a friend like you’
