There was once a little princess who could not sing. She could talk, even chatter all day long, but when she tried to sing words came out patched together in perfect disharmony. And how she longed she could sing, for in her heart she was always singing. So, she tried everything. Every charm, every talisman, every potion ever concocted for the purpose. Nothing changed. She started staying sad.
One day she sat sobbing at the pond. She was interrupted by a croaking. A frog leaped close to her and croaked again looking at her with its big beady eyes. It was a very silent place. Its croaking became even more pronounced. She started listening intently and found herself lost in incessant cadences of its voice. To her song-less soul, it sounded infinitely melodious.
Like any girl raised on fairy tales would, she picked it up and kissed it. She felt a sudden warmness in her gut. It rose to her throat and came out of her mouth in such a sweet song that she could not stop for a long long time.
It was next morning when a little boy came strolling to the pond. Something caught his attention. He sat there listening intently. After a while he got up and spoke aloud to himself, “I bet they are prince and princess of frogs” and skipped away.
Moral: “If you are a frog inside, stop looking for princes”
