Remarked my youthful looking friend, a man of action, when pressed upon by me to try his hand at writing.
He said that in a jocular vein, no doubt, but it still had me thinking.
I pondered over his words again.
And wondered.
What if nobody ever wrote?
Where would we get our God breathed, holy men writ scriptures from?
There would be no newspapers..we'd be left in the dark regarding world, why, even our neighborhood events.
No novels, no comics, no story books! Enough to leave voracious readers like me devastated.
No SMSes on mobiles..leaving girls and boys heavily in love in a tizzy..
No 'I love you' cards from doting hubbys to wives.
No text books..we'd all be like cavemen!
Isn't writing like acting in an action packed movie? Sometimes even better.
Doesn't it unleash our creative energies, stimulating our intellectual cells to the maximum ?
Can we write anything productive without being fully alert like a car driver driving along the highway?
Isn't it revolutionary in intent and informative in content?
Then why is writing relegated to oldies and bored house wives?
