...It was the 14th day of the second month of the year. Yes, some people also call it as
'Valentine's day'. The day of expectations, happiness, care, and also a proposal. But this is just one side of the coin. For some, it was just an ordinary day with a privilege of love in the sight, and jealousy in the heart. Unfortunately, I fell in the category of the second side of coin.
But there was this one good thing that would make this day, earn a bit of my attention.
It was birthday of my best friend. When she had first told me of her birth date, I had mixed feelings. 'Is it a good day or a bad one to enter the world?', I had thought. Whatever so, it was my best friend's birthday not valentine's day for me.
That day, in college, as usual it was getting more and more pathetic to kill time in the lecture of Environmental Studies. After it was over, my friend and me went into a gift shop
to buy one for the birthday girl. But as soon as we entered the shop, a terrible disappointment struck. There, Everywhere were love birds, couple rings and all the 'its-valentine's-day-today' type gifts. 'What the hell!' , I whispered which in my mind sounded like a blast. We ended up buying chocolates!
When we boarded the local, my friend was holding in his hand the bill of the gift we just bought. He was grinning at me with his one eye brow raised. I asked him why was he still holding that bill, "throw that away", I said. He won't listen. So I pulled it away from him in frustration and threw it away. We watched that piece of paper going down in a zig-zag motion with the wind. It ended up falling in the waters. We saw it from the local train passing above the waters. At that moment, suddenly I remembered something from our pathetic Environmental Studies. By throwing that piece of paper in the water, I just polluted the water. Weird! I looked at my friend standing in front me and said, "hey, I just did water pollution on valentine's day! Just think how many people would have done this pollution today!" He put a hand on my shoulder and exclaimed,"you ok bro?"
Then I told him,"Yes, have decided it. I am going to write about this and name it
'Water Pollution On Valentine's Day'
