This afternoon I got into an auto to get back home. The driver, a bespectacled man perhaps in his mid thirties, commented irritatedly on almost everything happening on the road.

'Aap ko lekar jaana hai, to ghadi kyu dekhta saala,' he remarked as the previous auto guy we tried to hail turned us down hesitantly as it was lunch time.
'Bah!' His reaction to another auto that came straight at him, refusing to budge from his way.
'Kya samajhta hai woh apne aap ko?' he shook his head as a reckless car swerved suddenly at full speed, turning to it's left just inches in front of our auto without warning!

Further on, he looked to the left and shouted,'bacche ka haat baahar nikal raha hai..andar lijiye..' to it's mom..
He drove on. trrr..trrr.trrr
Now looking at the potholed road, he then commented loudly,'ye road kabhi nai sudhrega.'
My admiration for the guy had tripled by now. He seemed so conscientious!

The auto slowed down at the red light.
He leaned out towards his right and looking down SPAT a mouthful of red juice onto the unsuspecting black tarred road!

Uggh!
My new found respect for the man had suddenly disappeared into thin air..

I turned towards sonny.
'Now how would he comment on this action of his?' I laughed.
Son grinned.

The auto driver remained silent for the rest of the journey. As if guilty for his deed.
We reached our place after five minutes.
'Thank you,' I said, as I parted with my precious rupees.
He muttered something inaudible.
It could have been 'theek hai'..
but I'm sure it was a guilty..
'mai bhi kabhi nai sudhrunga.'
